Thank God for Mental Health Days!

In my profession we sometimes take what we affectionately call "Mental Health Days." A mental health day is when you use a sick day at work, not because you are physically ill, but because you are in serious danger of becoming mentally ill or in some cases you have already temporarily lost your mind. Please note that it is not because of your own actions that you are in danger of becoming mentally ill, but because of the people you work with, your clients, and their families. A mental heath day or days, will bring you back to your normal self very quickly. There are several tips that you can follow to have a very productive mental health day. 1) sleep extra long well into the day if you choose. 2)Get out of town, go visit a relative or friend you haven't seen in awhile, but dearly love. 3)Go to the movies. 4)Catch up on the many errands you didn't get finished over the weekend or will have to do the rest of the week, so that you can actually enjoy your free time. 4)Go hiking in the woods. 5)Go for a walk or a picnic in a park somewhere. 6)Get your friend, or boy/girlfriend to skip work with you and enjoy a mental health day together! Have you taken a good mental health day recently? I recommend a good one be taken every 3-4 months or more often as needed unless you are careless with them and run the risk of losing your job over absences. What do you think about mental health days? Do you ever take them? Do you have any of your own tips for using a mental health day to it's fullest potential?
